Gyopo helps Korean heritage learners practice everyday Korean conversations. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information We Collect
- Email address, used for passwordless sign-in.
- Onboarding answers, such as Korean level and learning motivation.
- Lesson progress, completion status, streaks, and checkpoint results.
- Practice responses submitted in lessons, used to evaluate your answer and provide feedback.
- Basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and debug the app.
How We Use Information
We use this information to provide sign-in, save progress, unlock lessons, evaluate practice answers, maintain streaks, improve the app, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
Service Providers
Gyopo uses third-party service providers to operate the app, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and edge functions; Resend for transactional email; OpenAI for lesson answer evaluation; and ElevenLabs for pre-generated lesson audio.
AI Evaluation
When you submit a practice response, the response and related lesson context may be sent to OpenAI so Gyopo can evaluate the answer and return feedback. Do not include sensitive personal information in practice responses.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers needed to run Gyopo, when required by law, or to protect the security and integrity of the app.
Data Retention
We keep account and progress information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
